23/10/2006 - Tour Update
The band have been continuing to spread love across the UK since returning from the riotous Ireland tour last week.
Having kicked off this leg in Leicester on Sunday 15th the boys have already played on-fire shows in Glasgow, Birmingham and Newcastle to name but 3, breaking a drum kit and a couple of guitars along the way. Touring until 3rd November, playing almost every night, it's highly probable they're hitting your town (or somewhere close) over the next 2 weeks. Check 'Live' section for details and ticket info.

16/09/2006 - Single Release
Debut Single ‘1994’
Released in October on 7th Star Recordings via Universal to coincide with their first full UK tour.
My Alamo will release their corrosive debut single ‘1994’ with 7th Star Recordings in October, to be released on CD and a special limited edition 7” vinyl.
Haling from South Wales and bohemian Moseley in Birmingham, My Alamo are emerging as one of the UK's finest new alternative rock bands. Building on the rowdy triumphs of so many Midlands rock acts that still stand the test of time today, and feeding off the vibrant Welsh rock scene, My Alamo are raring to prove their mettle as rightful heirs and stand poised for pitched battle.
Currently recording at Mighty Atom in South Wales with producer Joe Gibb (Jane’s Addiction, Funeral For A Friend), the band are polishing off their soon to be released eponymous debut album which promises a caustic bite: the band’s trenchant songwriting demands large audiences and wide, open spaces, melding anthemic melodies with bruised riff-age.
Already being played on XFM and Kerrang Radio, the hotly tipped My Alamo embark on their first UK-Irish club tour following successful appearances at the Download and Oxegen festivals over the summer.
My Alamo are James Rigby (lead vocal and guitar), Zach Beckett (guitar and backing vocals), Dijg Simpson (bass), Nick Hobbis (drums and backing vocals).

17/07/2006 - New Signing
We are very happy to announce our signing to GAA Golds Artists (REM,
Feeder) who will be booking all future live appointments.
16/07/2006 - Stuff
We've been a busy band. We made it across road and sea to play the Oxegen
Festival which took place just outside Dublin, Ireland. It was really cool
to play in another country despite having had about 4 minutes sleep on the
tour bus.
We've also been back in a Swansea studio to record some more
songs to add to the album already in the can, as usual Joe Gibb (FFAF, Janes
Addiction) has been aiding and abetting in his own unique and marvellous
way. The album is to be mastered at the end of this month.
22/06/2006 Festivals & UK Tour
Thanks to all of you sun-loving festival people sending your emails about our show at Download. Maybe we'll see some of you down the front at Oxegen in July or in some other tent-in-a-field this summer? We'll also be announcing the dates for a full UK tour very soon.
21/06/06: OXEGEN FESTIVAL 2006 (Dublin)
My Alamo have been asked to appear at the prestigious OXEGEN FESTIVAL 2006, the artist's and audience's ultimate music festival (apparently)!
The highest demand ever was witnessed for OXEGEN as day tickets, weekend tickets and weekend tickets with camping sold out completely in UNDER 12 hours.
So hopefully we will see the lucky souls with tickets at the "New Bands Stage", 12 noon on Sunday 9th July!

03-March: bonjour là!
We've been doing a lot of behind the scenes stuff lately, with this in mind we've organised a couple of shows to blow off some cob webs!
We've just emerged from the strobe lights and crosses of December with a brand new video which will accompany the release of '1994' (check out the audio clip online now) as a single sometime this spring (release date TBA). Clips of the short film starring us will be aired on here soon.
We've been enjoying our fist steps into myspace and you can check our page by clicking here. This is a great way for us to really connect with you blah blah blah.
You will notice that we've changed the audio clips about. We'll be doing this from time to time to give you an ever-revolving taste of the debut album and singles/b-sides.
Enjoy these until you can buy the whole thing.
Be cool
